Public Tender Opportunity: Expansion of the Perito Moreno Gas Pipeline

At the request of the Argentine National Government, we are pleased to share with our community a public tender opportunity of strategic relevance for the energy sector.

Energía Argentina S.A., the national energy company, has launched the National and International Public Tender GPM No. 01/2025 for the execution and financing of expansion works on Section I of the Perito Francisco Pascasio Moreno Gas Pipeline (GPM). The tender also includes the provision of operation and maintenance services.

This is the first private investment initiative in Argentina’s national natural gas transportation system, aimed at increasing the GPM’s transport capacity from 26 to 40 million cubic meters per day. The project will enhance natural gas flow from Vaca Muerta (Neuquén) to the Province of Buenos Aires — a significant step forward in Argentina’s energy infrastructure.

The proposed scope includes:

• Construction of new compressor plants along the pipeline.
• Adaptation and modernization of existing facilities.
• A 15-year capacity reservation agreement with Energía Argentina S.A.
• Operation and maintenance responsibility for the awarded company.
• Reversion of ownership of the infrastructure to the State after the agreement period.

This project has been officially declared of public interest and is expected to:

• Accelerate national energy development.
• Generate fiscal savings.
• Improve Argentina’s trade balance.
